Future Since 2022, the world’s energy landscape has undergone earth-shaking changes. The recurrence of the COVID-19 epidemic, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the complexity of international relations, and the acceleration of the green and low-carbon transformation of energy have all had a profound impact on the global energy market. In this process, Europe, as the benchmark for global energy transformation, has taken the lead in accelerating the transition from fossil energy to renewable energy, leading the trend of global energy change.

In this trend, heat pump technology, as a new energy technology that has attracted much attention around the world in recent years, has particularly eye-catching development prospects. In particular, air-source heat pumps, with their high efficiency, environmental protection, and sustainability, have become an important technical means to promote the decarbonization goal in the heating field. It greatly improves energy efficiency by absorbing heat energy in the air and converting it into usable high-grade heat energy. At the same time, the use of air source heat pump technology can effectively reduce carbon emissions and have minimal impact on the environment, which perfectly fits the current energy transformation trend.

In Europe, the promotion and application of air source heat pump technology has achieved remarkable results. Many European countries have incorporated air source heat pump technology into their energy transition plans and introduced a series of policy support and financial subsidy measures to accelerate the promotion and application of air source heat pump technology.

Under strong market demand, the European heat pump market continues to expand. Statistics show that from 2010 to 2021, global annual heat pump sales doubled, from 800,000 units to nearly 1.7 million units. In this process, air-source heat pumps account for about 40%. This trend is particularly obvious in the European market. In 2022, the number of heat pumps used across Europe will be 3 million units, a year-on-year increase of 37%, setting a new record. According to the forecast of the European Heat Pump Association, the total stock of heat pumps in Europe will reach 60 million units by 2030, and the IEA predicts that the total use of heat pumps in Europe will reach 1.8 billion by 2050.

Globally, heat pump heating products are still in short supply. At the same time, domestic and foreign industry giants are accelerating their layout or expanding heat pump production capacity. At present, domestic air energy leading brands, such as Midea, Gree, Haier, Tongyi and many other home appliance companies are constantly increasing the export business of air energy heat pumps in order to promote the further development of China's heat pump industry.

With the acceleration of global energy transformation and the rapid development of renewable energy, the application prospects of heat pump technology will be broader. In the future, heat pump technology will become an important development direction in the global heating field and make greater contributions to promoting sustainable development of global energy and addressing climate change.
